Schuller graduated from Hope College in 1947 and Western Theological Seminary in 1950. In 1955 he started a drive-in Church at an old concession stand in California. His brand of possibility thinking became very popular, allowing him to begin a weekly, nationally televised religious program entitled the "Hour of Power" and to build the architecturally impressive Crystal Cathedral.
