San Pedro, Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Collection. 1905-1976.

The collection is comprised of the records of the San Pedro, Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad whose construction led to the founding of the city of Las Vegas. The papers cover a wide range of the company's operations. There is correspondence relating to lots in the Las Vegas town site, numerous accounting reports, freight lists, invoices and other administrative materials from 1905-1923. There are also records of Arden Station (located 10 miles south of the Las Vegas Station) and miscellaneous materials relating to the Union Pacific Railroad.
