BIOGHIST REQUIRED Professor of zoology at Columbia and Barnard, 1904-1943. Curator of vertebrate zoology at the American Museum of Natural History and a member of various scientific expeditions to Hawaii and the South Pacific. He was author of DOCTRINE OF EVOLUTION and other monographs on scientific subjects. He died in 1951.
