The objects of this pilot study were: 1) To establish some measure of the range of percolation rates within a soil delineation. 2) To determine whether more than one hole within a delineation is needed and, if needed, whether they should be spaced at random. 3) To determine the suitability of the soils for use as septic filter fields.
