John Calhound Stanford oration, 187u.

The collection consists of oration to the Demosthenian Society on duty made by John Calhoun Stanford in the 1870s. Mr. Stanford is listed as a matriculate who would have graduated in the class of 1874. Also included is an 1857 edition of The Oration of Demosthenes on the Crown, with notes by J. T. Champlin, Boston and Cambridge, James Munroe & Co., 1857, with Stanford's name in it. The oration by Stanford was found in the book by Mr. Johnson. A typed transcript of the oration on duty is also in the collection.
