Biography Alfred Rudolf Golzé was born July 6, 1905 in Washington, D.C., the son of Rudolph L. and Blanche W. Golzé. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering at the University of Pennsylvania in 1930 and later attended the University of Colorado and George Washington University.
