Sir Walter Scott letter, 1830.

The collection consists of one letter, entirely in the hand of British author Sir Walter Scott. It was presented to Charles Coburn (the donor of the collection) by Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey Patterson Henderson in Savannah in 1959. The seven-line letter is a third-person address of good wishes to the distinguished Scottish author Charles Mackay of the Theatre Royal who has added a note at the bottom of the page. The entire item is enclosed in a carved wooden frame.
