Letters received by Rev. Caleb Stetson, Unitarian minister of the First Parish of Medford, Mass. and the South Church in Scituate (later the First Parish of Norwell). The most frequent correspondent was Lucy Osgood, a member of his congregation in Medford who provided Stetson with news of the parish and its members. Other correspondents include nieces and nephews, including Thomas S. Harlow's letters written as a student at Bowdoin College (Class of 1836), and misc. others on his preaching and abolitionist beliefs.
