Sarah Edna Hesketh Wrentmore Bolingbroke, born on February 18, 1899, was born in Rolla, North Dakota. She attended the University of North Dakota from 1918 to 1922. She majored in accounting, while also pursuing a diploma in expression from Wesley College. While at UND, she served as President of the YWCA and as Junior Class Treasurer, and was a four year participant in the Dakota Playmakers.
