Sognnaes (1911-1983) (Harvard, D.M.D. 1951) was Charles A. Brackett Professor of Oral Pathology and associate dean at Harvard School of Dental Medicine from 1952 to 1960 and dean of the dental school at University of California in Los Angeles from 1960 to 1968.
