The Mine and Smelter Corporation, (originally founded as the Kennedy and Pierce Machinery Group in 1879), was a mining and machinery company located in Denver, Colorado. In 1958 Mine and Smelter Company purchased the Colorado Iron Works Company, (which was established in 1860). In 1971 Mine and Smelter Company changed its name to MSI Industries, and in 1975 to Mine and Smelter Corporation.
