William Robertson Angus, Jr. graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. in 1922. He received his Bachelors of Divinity from Hartford Seminary in 1925 and was licensed by the classis of Bergen, RCA in that same year. Angus was commissioned by the Board of Foreign Missions and appointed as a missionary to China where he served until 1952.
