D. Ridgely Howard scrapbooks, 1820-1840 ; 1861-1862.

Two scrapbooks, 1820-1840 and 1861-1862, the compilation of which is ascribed to a D. Ridgely Howard. The earlier scrapbook is a volume of newspaper clippings of poetry, humorous stories, and epitaphs. The later volume contains clippings on battles of the Civil War and messages and proclamations of presidents Lincoln and Davis.
