Eugene Victor Thaw (1927-2018) was an American art collector and art dealer based in New York City with additional residences in Cherry Valley, N.Y. and Santa Fe, N.M. Jackson Pollock was born in 1912, in Cody, Wyoming, the youngest of five sons. His family moved several times during his childhood, finally settling in Los Angeles.
