Thanking him for his efforts to make Dvořák's music known in Mannheim, saying that he cannot recommend the Slavonic Dances because they are really suited only to dilettantes, that he cannot think of writing a trio or other chamber music because he is at work on a large opera [Dimitrij], that he is sending his newest keyboard works, Legends for piano four-hands, etc.
