Saying that [Ernst II], the Duke of Coburg, has accepted the dedication of Strauss's Ritter Pasman, expressing regret that his gout will prevent his going to Berlin for the premiere and asking that all the Berlin newspapers be informed of this, enclosing [not present] some lines [Henry] Pierson sent him, mentioning the success of his Millionen waltz [i.e. Seid umschlungen Millionen, op. 443], [Josef] Eberle, his brother Eduard, [Robert?] Fuchs, etc.
