Ascending sun-god with rod-with-balls, worshipers, and nude hero [seal impression]. [modern impression of seal created between 1800 and 1595 B.C.]

Ascending god, in striped robe and horned headdress, holds a rod-with-balls, crook, and steps upon a schematic mountain. Flanking the god, two worshipers, male and female, with raised palms; the male holds his robe in one hand. Behind the female worshiper a belted, nude hero, holds a short rod in both hands and appears full-face. In the field, a crescent moon surmounted by a disc formed by eight balls, and a down-pointing saw, which indicates that the god is Shamash, the sun-god. Terminal, inscription in three lines: {d}Suen-ta-i-a-ar / dumu {d}Suen-im-gur-an-ni / arad {d}AN-MAR-TU "Suen-tayyar, son of Suen-imguranni, servant of Amurru."
