Saying that the invitation to attend a meeting in Parma of the Societ ... d'Orticoltura [sic] arrived too late for her to attend, assuring him that she would have voted "percheĢ€ dal principio all'estremo fondo della cassa, fosse versato nelle ultra-italiane mani di Garibaldi," asking that her membership not be renewed, saying that since she has been a member of the society she has not even had the pleasure of seeing the leaves of a turnip (that's her fault, not the society's), that she will leave to others the improvement of flowers, fruits, and vegetables, etc.
