Autograph letter signed : New York, to Jed [Harris], "Tuesday morning" [n.d.].

His producer, saying "I was glad to hear you say that you were willing to reopen the matter of the additions and alterations to the material of the First Act" [of Our Town], and going on to discuss script changes in-depth. He agrees to accept cuts "with the exception of one in the Third Act; and my feeling that the Love Scene has become so spare that the transitions from thought to thought sound a little unnatural"; but takes exception to Harris's additions, which he lists and criticizes. If Harris agrees to these changes, Wilder writes, "I'd be sitting out front as happy as a cricket."
