Describing the "good attendance" for his speech and "Sellar in the chair & Flint & Butcher waxing very strong in their kind speeches at the close," a B. Brown who was less sympathetic but who later lent him the index for the last edition of Vasari, a series proposed by Henderson and Blackwood of biographical sketches" of which Bacon would be the chief," telling him his engravings have arrived safely, trusting he has the "Gladstone clippings" and saying that his "tales" are bothering him.
