Thanking him for the interest he has taken in Abt's son, saying Dr. Goldmann had been entrusted with the son's care although Goldmann was known to be harsh (schroff), that now the son has parted from Goldmann, enclosing [not present] a letter for his son advising him to go to Montreux, etc.
