Discussing something the recipient proposes to write [in French] for the Bayreuther Blätter, saying he finds the historical theme very interesting, the second ("art aryen") he likes best, the third does not belong in their journal but in a newspaper, the fourth, the symbol, is unquestionably the most important esthetically: the last symbol, scenery, should be approached with reference to the great French genius for esthetic scenery, etc.
