Autograph letter signed, dated : Zurich, 19 December 1855, to "Cher Prospère" [i.e. Prosper Sainton], 1855 Dec. 19.

Saying that, after two months, he has just left his sickbed--he thinks it was "la maladie de Londres"--, that he now knows how much his vocation in London cost Sainton, that it mortally offended Costa, who now revenges himself on Sainton, mentioning Lüders, Anderson--who, on Sainton's warm recommendation, had the insolence to come to Zurich to engage Wagner--, giving some advice in Greek, etc.
