Autograph letter signed, dated : Wiesbaden, 14 April 1869, to M. [Hubert?] Léonard, 1869 Apr. 14.

Saying that with regard to his previous works he has taken too little care to retain the author's rights, except for a few piano works, that for the rest one must deal with the German publishers, that M. Maho is about to acquire the rights to his four sonatas, previously Schuberth's, saying that his Quintet in A minor is considered in Germany the most remarkable chamber work since Beethoven, adding that in the future he will reserve the author's rights whenever a work does not find a French publisher immediately, mentioning M. Richault, Wilhelmi, the success of Vieuxtemps and Jaell with the First Sonata at St. James's Hall, etc.
