Autograph letter signed, dated : Munich Sept. 30 1897, to Herr Ahn, 1897 Sept. 30.

Saying he has the greatest interest in performing d'Indy's Fervaal, as he told d'Indy a few days before, asking him to support Strauss's effort by possibly promising Possart the first performance of the work in Germany, adding that on Sunday he travels to Amsterdam for three concerts and will pause briefly in Cologne on Monday and suggesting they meet at the train station, saying that he hopes a named but unidentified work will come out in January--the piano score is already engraved, the choral and orchestral parts almost all written out--, etc.
