Saying he left the recipient's letter of 13 November unanswered in hopes that his nervous system would improve with winter but that unfortunately that has not happened and so he must forego concert trips, but adding that on 15 March he will travel to Italy for the first time: "Vielleicht hilft dieses Zauberland."
