Letter signed, dated : Berlin, 5 Jan. 1836, to J.C. Stosberg [i.e. Stolberg?] in Aachen, 1836 Jan. 5.

Thanking him for sending the manuscript of the [libretto of the] opera Die Bürgschaft, returning it, saying that he has already been sent three librettos based on Schiller's poem, that there is a fourth, already set to music, adding that he already has before him two other texts to set as operas and it is therefore impossible to think of any other work, etc.
