Autograph letter signed, dated : Zwickau, July 1827, to [Emil Flechsig], 1827, July.

Touching, in an exuberant and florid style, on many aspects of Schumann's adolescent character, his daydreams and fantasies, his admiration for Horace, saying his own poetical mill is at a dead standstill, mentioning Liddy [Hempel] and Nanni [Patsch], etc., etc.; there is a small burn-hole at the top of the first page removing the last two letters of "Zwickau," and probably part of the date.
