Congratulating him on his success in London, saying that he went to see [Ferdinand] David, who gave him the enclosed certificate [not present] concerning the value of his violin, that he played in a benefit concert arranged by Schneider and Behr and that [Therese] Tietjens caused much excitement in Leipzig, mentioning Dr. Brockhaus, etc.
