Recommending M. [Gustave-Hippolyte] Roger, first tenor at the Paris Opéra, who is coming to Germany for the first time for a series of performances in Frankfurt, and asking the recipient to do what he can to help Roger in Frankfurt; in a postscript, he asks if the recipient knows of a singer who can manage the role of Fidès in Meyerbeer's Prophète, which may be performed in Frankfurt, adding that he has heard of a Mlle Lutz (or Lotz?) and asking if she is up to the role.
