Autograph letter signed, dated : Hanover, 7 February 1844, to Herr [Eduard] Genast, regisseur of the court theater in Weimar, 1844 Feb. 7.

Expressing regret that he cannot give a favorable reply to Frl. von Ottenburg's request, explaining that their policy is never to allow a guest appearance that does not lead to an engagement, adding that the kind of roles Ottenburg plays are in Hanover so well done by [Mina] Schrickel that there is no desire to see them done otherwise, saying that he reads that Genast will give Marschner's [Hans] Heiling, noting that it was successful in Dresden and will next appear in Vienna with some changes, adding that he heard Bircsh, Prume, and R. Willmers at a concert the previous evening, that Willmers pleased most of all, reporting that [Oskar] Flintzer was rather nice as Antonio in the "Trommeloper," etc.
