Saying that preparations for a performance of [Der] Schöffe [von Paris] prevented him from writing sooner, that with regard to talent and intention Cünzer's opera Konradin is the most important musical work sent to Dorn in two years but impossible to perform in its present state, saying it must be completely reworked, and suggesting some changes.
