Convocation addressed by Portolá, as commander-in-chief of the 1769-1770 land expedition to San Diego and Monterey, to the officers and priests accompanying him, in order to decide upon the advisability of turning back in the search for Monterey; with the resultant statements and votes of Portolá, Miguel Costansó, Pedro Fagas, Fernando Rivera y Moncada, Father Francisco Gomez, and Father Juan Crespí. Bearing the signatures of Portolá and the officers and priests above named.
