Convocation addressed by Portolá as commander-in-chief of the Monterey expedition, to the officers and priests accompanying him, in order to discuss their failure to find Monterey and other problems; followed by the opinions of Portolá himself, Costansó, Rivera y Moncada, and Fages, their votes in favor of retracing their course to Punta de Pinos, and an expression of concurrence from Fathers Gómez and Crespí. Mentioning indications that the expedition recently passed the vicinity of San Francisco. With the signatures of all the persons above named.
