Henry Winn Pinkham (1864-1947) was a minister and anti-war activitist born in Newton Centre, Mass. and educated at Brown University and Newton Theological School. He lived in Denver, Colo. from 1896-1912. Pinkham was ordained a Baptist minister but joined the American Unitarian Association in 1912. His outspoken opposition to U.S. involvement in World War I led him to join the Fellowship of Reconciliation. He also served as secretary of the Association to Abolish War from 1920-1927. Wilbur K. Thomas, a Quaker born in Indiana, was the Executive Secretary of the American Friends Service Committee from 1918 to 1929. He graduated from Friends University in 1904, served as pastor of various Quaker churches, graduated from Yale Divinity School in 1907, and earned a Ph.D. from Boston University in 1914.
