Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. Biographical note: Lawyer and forty-niner, Benjamin Hayes traveled from Independence, Missouri on Sept. 10, 1849 and arrived in Los Angeles on February 26, 1850.
