Eddie Wallace, who was born in Atlanta on February 2, 1924, was a founding member of "The Sunshine Boys," a male vocal quartet specializing in spiritual music. The group was organized in 1943, and initially worked the WSB Radio "Barn Dance" at the Erlanger Theatre in Atlanta. In 1944 the group made the move to WAGA radio in Atlanta, where it transcribed two network shows, "The Sunshine Boys" for Colonial Stores and "The Light Crust Doughboys" for Burris Mill and Elevator Company.
