Biography Note Peter Gulbrandsen was born in Denmark in 1890, came to the United States in 1924, and settled permanently in California in 1929. A journalist by profession, he contributed to various Danish language newspapers, wrote feature atticles for magazines and newspapers on Scandinavian affairs, and edited The Pacific Coast Scandinavian.
