Frank Harrison Hill was born in Boston, Lincolnshire in England in 1830. After graduating from London University in 1851, he was called to the bar before moving to Ireland in 1860 to become editor to the Northern Whig. Hill remained in this post until 1866 when he returned to London to work for the liberal journal the London Daily News. Robert Browning was a British poet. Born on May 7, 1812, Browning wrote his first major work,"Pauline: a fragment of a confession" at the age of twenty. He married Elizabeth Barrett in 1826 and with her encouragement went on to become one of the major Victorian poets.
