Court documents related to the estates and succession of Michel Auguste Provosty and his son, Auguste Provosty, comprise the majority of these papers. Earliest papers are photocopies of originals (1826-1838). Other items include travel documents (in French) for Michel Auguste (1826), inventories goods and property, including a slave list, of Michel Auguste Provosty (April 24, 1827) and Auguste Provosty (Dec. 12, 1868, Nov. 28, 1891), distribution of assets (April 22, 1876), and a photograph (copy print) of Eliska Labry Provosty (n.d.).
