Virginia Lanier Martin Carmouche oral history interview, 1994.

Carmouche reminisces about her family and growing up in Thibodaux, La. She discusses her LSU experience, including campus life and as a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Carmouche also reveals her law school experiences and how she met her husband. Also included is a discussion of her family's involvement in politics.

Born Virginia Martin in Thibodaux, La., in 1923, Carmouche followed family tradition and attended LSU on a legislative scholarship. She graduated with the class of 1944 and went on to law school. She has been a member of the board of the LSU Foundation as well as being an active member of the LSU Alumni Association.
