Signe Cooper (1921- ) served in the Army Nurse Corps in the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II. After her discharge in 1945 as a first lieutenant, she taught nursing at UW-Madison's School of Nursing, and received her masters degree at the University of Minnesota.
