Copy of an Italian work by the Mexican Jesuit, Fabregat (written Fabrega in Spanish), describing and interpreting the Codex Mexicanus Borgianus, which is a pictorial representation of the Mexican calendar and related rites, preserved in the Borgia Museum (Congregation of Propaganda Fide, Rome) and reproduced in Kingsborough's Mexican Antiquities, London, 1831, Vol. III, No. 1. The above copy was completed in 1852, with water-color reproductions of Mexican hieroglyphics on title page.

Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. He is descended from the Thatchers of Uffington, England, the same family as Denis Thatcher, husband of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. From the description of H.H.
