A small collection of papers of George F. Root, musical composer and educator, including a souvenir scrapbook of a day devoted to his music by the Hyde Park High School (Mass.). The scrapbook, dated 6 Mar. 1899, contains programs, clippings, photos, and letters from those unable to attend. Another scrapbook dates from his death in 1895 and contains obituary clippings and memorial tributes. The collection also includes misc. printed ephemera, clippings, and manuscripts.
