Commonplace-book, 1823-[1838].

Commonplace-book kept by Dr. David H. Storer of Boston. The entries contain notes and abstracts on various subjects, among them mineralogy, historic figures, and climate, along with citations as to the source of the information. The subjects most heavily represented are medicine and surgery on which he recorded extracts of published works as well as notes on his own cases. Many of the entries are undated; however, his medical cases date from 1823-26 (including some kept while a student at Harvard Medical School, Class of 1825) and the citations of printed works date through 1838.
