This collection contains photocopied correspondence of O.P. Davis: letters to wife written on trips to New Orleans, as a delegate to the Indiana Constitutional Convention (1850-1851), and while on a trip east visiting family; letters to son in New Hampshire school; letters of Davis son's friends; letter of William H. English. Letters to O.P. Davis, Jr. from the father asking his son to settle down and study, mentions meetings of the Indiana General Assembly, farm problems, economic conditions, hardships and the need for a better education, also includes letters from his sisters Alice and Mary and other school friends.
