In the interview with Jim Harris for WJBO's "Topic Today" Program (Aug. 1975), Henson Moore discusses the concerns of his constituents and their economic situation, unemployment, welfare reform, and government spending on defense and social programs. He also discusses issues in the upcoming congressional session, the effects of deregulating the petroleum industry, the upcoming Louisiana gubernatorial election, and Republican presidential candidates in the 1976 election.

William Henson Moore III was born in 1939 in Lake Charles, La. He received a B.A. from Louisiana State University in 1961, his J.D. from LSU Law School in 1965, and a master's degree in 1973. Moore served as U.S. Representative for the Sixth Congressional District of Louisiana (1974-1987), becoming the second Republican since Reconstruction elected to the House from Louisiana.
