This collection consists of a print that was made of plate no. 309 titled Puget Sound Baskets from E.S. Curtis' book titled the North American Indian. The print of the baskets is in sepia tones. The edge of the print was an off-white tone. The overall dimension of the print is 19 in. (47 cm.) x 22 in. (55 cm.). The original plate had the following printed on it: "From copyright photograph 1912 by E.S. Curtis. Photogravure John Andrew & Son" and it was duplicated as part of the print. The print was received at the Washington State Library, Mar. 21, 1960.

Maud P. Mitchell was born about 1883 in Oregon. She married Chas. R. Mitchell and by 1920 they were living in Chehalis, WA. Charles was an assistant cashier at the bank.
