Georgia Jean Giddings papers, 1928-1943.

This collection contains diaries written from 1928-1943 by Georgia Jean Giddings. They describe her daily activities as a student at Shortridge High School in Indianapolis, life at home and activites with family and friends. In addition, her diaries from 1941-1943 describe her work in the physical examination room at Fort Benjamin Harrison. There are also several letters to Miss Giddings from Corporal Harold Feuters who was stationed at Fort Harrison Hospital, April-May, 1941. There is also a duty roster dated February 17, 1942.

Georgia Jean Giddings was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in approximately 1913 and graduated from Shortridge High School in 1930. In April 1931, she began working in the office of the Indianapolis Power and Light Company.
