Bill Sharp enrolled in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in 1936, where he first joined CCC Company 1999, followed by Company 1936. Sharp spent two years in the Montana CCC before leaving in July of 1938 to join the US Navy. In 1972 Mr. Sharp decided to compile a history of the CCC and spent the next twenty years of his life communicating with ex-CCC members and their families, collecting letters, stories, mementos, photographs and other information on the CCC camps throughout the state of M...
